Privacy Notice
Last updated: 2026-05-30
This Privacy Notice explains how Ti-Golf collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Who we are
Ti-Golf is operated by Heritage Golf Management Ltd, based in Mauritius and run for the mini-golf course at The Range.
For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at jonathan@thegolfcompanyafrica.com.
2. Personal data we collect
When you create an account or play a round we collect:
- Identity: first name, surname, nationality or country selection
- Contact: email address
- Authentication: a securely hashed password, or the identifier returned by a third-party sign-in provider you choose to use
- Membership status with The Range, where relevant
- Gameplay data: scores per hole, round dates and times, and the display names you enter for guest players in your group
- Consent record: the date and version of this notice and the Terms of Service that you accepted at signup
- Technical data: standard request metadata such as IP address and browser type, used only for security, abuse prevention and basic service reliability
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as health, religion or political opinions.
3. How we use your data
- To create, secure and operate your account
- To record your rounds and display you on the public leaderboard (first name, surname initial and nationality flag)
- To verify your email address and let you reset your password
- To send you transactional notifications about your account and your rounds
- To send you marketing emails and offers about The Range, Ti-Golf and related events and promotions, which you can opt out of at any time
- To prevent abuse, fraud and misuse, and to keep the app secure
- To comply with our legal obligations under Mauritian law
4. Why we process your data
We process your information on the following grounds:
- Your consent — given when you sign up, to create your account and display you on the public leaderboard. You may withdraw this at any time (see section 8).
- Providing our service — operating your account, recording your rounds, and supporting you as a customer.
- Keeping the service safe — protecting against abuse, fraud and misuse, and making the app better.
- Legal requirements — where Mauritian law requires us to retain or disclose information.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for marketing. We only share it with the trusted service providers we need to run the app:
- Secure cloud hosting, database and authentication providers
- Transactional email delivery providers
These partners are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and may only use your information to provide services to us. We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Ti-Golf, our users or the public.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers store and process data on servers located outside Mauritius. Where this happens, we make sure the receiving country has strong data protection standards, or that contractual safeguards are in place. You may request more information about these safeguards by contacting us.
7. Retention
We keep your account data and round history for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Dashboard → "Delete account"). Deletion permanently removes your profile, scorecards, hole scores and sign-in credentials, normally within 30 days.
We may retain limited information for longer where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our Terms of Service. Aggregated and fully anonymised statistics that can no longer identify you may be retained indefinitely.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected;
- request deletion of your personal information;
- object to or restrict certain uses of your data;
- opt out of marketing communications at any time;
- withdraw your consent at any time;
- receive a copy of your data in a commonly used electronic format;
- lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Office of Mauritius.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email above. We will respond promptly.
9. Security
We take security seriously. Our measures include encryption of data in transit, hashed passwords, row-level access controls in our database, limited administrative access, and audit logging.
If we become aware of a data breach that could affect you, we will notify the relevant authorities and inform affected users as required by law.
10. Cookies and local storage
Ti-Golf uses only strictly necessary browser storage (cookies and local storage) to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
11. Children
The app is open to mini-golf players of all ages. Players under 16 should only use the app with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for reviewing this notice and agreeing to it on the child's behalf. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Guest players
When you record a round, you may enter display names for other players in your group ("guest players"). You should only enter names that those players are comfortable seeing on the public leaderboard. If a guest player asks for their name to be removed, contact us and we will remove or anonymise it.
13. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be notified to you by email or in-app, and the version date above will be updated. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised notice.
